The economy is built on the in-game currency of cubes. You can check your current balance by typing /money or /cubes. These cubes can be used to pay other players for items or jobs, buy from chest shops, or purchases CVC plots or items from the Admin Shop. See the "Currency and Related Commands" section in the "General CV Commands" guide for more detailed commands about money/cubes.
Buying and Selling to Shops
Chest shops are all over Cubeville, however, the majority of them are situated at the shops in CVC(/spawn). These chests provide an excellent method of commerce because the owner of the shop chest doesn't need to be online to earn money from their shop chest.
Shop Chest Example
The different lines of a shop chest sign are important.
First line: shop owner
Second line: quantity of sale per click
Third line: amount of cubes they are buying or selling the above quantity for
Fourth line: item name or id
To buy from a shop chest, right click the sign. To sell to a shop chest, left click the sign.
On the left chest selling Birch Planks, the purchase price per 64 planks would be 1 cube. I could sell 64 planks to this shop chest for 0.5 cubes.
The right chest has two signs. This gives me the opportunity to buy or sell the item in two different quantities.
Voting for Cubeville
Voting for Cubeville is fairly simple, and it can give you up to 30 cubes a day. The only information you have to provide to voting sites is your Minecraft username. Note: You can only vote once a day per account, and you can only vote once a day per house(IP).
How to Vote
Step 1. - Type /vote while in game to obtain a clickable link, or simply go to https://www.cubeville.org/cv-site/vote.html.
Step 2. - On this page, there are 4 links to Minecraft voting websites. The top three will give you 10c each day you vote, but it is appreciated if you vote for the 4th one as well.
Step 3. - Vote for each of the sites with your Minecraft username.

Shopkeeper Rank
This rank gives you the ability to talk in market chat with Minecraft formatting (Example: &bhello), create your own shop chests, and talk with the /me command.
You can obtain this rank by paying 2000 cubes. Simply /modreq if you have that amount and wish to buy the rank.
You can also obtain this rank by completing the SK quest and purchasing the rank for 1000 cubes.
The SK quest can be started by going to the Quest Hall building west of CVC spawn.
Creating Shop Chests
There are a few ways of creating Shop Chests, but I am only going to go over one way(because it is the simplest).
Step 1. - Place the item you are selling, buying, or both in an empty chest. (Make sure this item is the only item in there)
Step 2. - Crouch(shift) place a sign on the chest or directly above it.
Step 3. - Leave the first line of the sign blank
Step 4. - On the second line put the quantity per sale you want. (quantity per click)
Step 5. - Third line: Put in your buying and or selling price. There are several formats for this, but this is the one i prefer.
"B <buying price> : S <selling price>" Keep in mind the buying price is what people will pay to purchase from the chest.
Step 6. - Simply put a ? on the fourth line. This will autodetect you, the seller, and the item being bought and sold that you put in the chest.
You are done! Below is an example of what I just detailed above.
