Access to void bases and/or the nether roof

I feel like has become boring. I see a lot of players taking breaks and sometimes, taking it out on the staff when they punish them for getting bored and breaking a rule or two. I feel like introducing more opportunities for projects could somewhat fix the problem. I think giving players access to the nether roof or to breaking bedrock for void bases could help with the issue and give players more to do on the server. Of course it doesn't have to be the nether roof or void bases, it could be something else that could be done to give the players more access to other options. If you can't do this, what if you told the players what's to come instead of keeping it secret. This could give the players hope for a better, more fun .

this seems like a good idea, i think it should be possible to access the nether roof as you simply need a enderpearl and mojang could easily fix this by making the bedrock 2 blocks thick

At least travel, I know the 8:1 thing isn't a thing on this server, but the nether roof is faster than rocky over world terrain.
