So the title pretty much says it all ^_^ But allow me to back up my case lol:

1. Lava "Boat" Potential
At the moment, striders are the only way to rapidly transport players over large bodies of lava. In the nether, there are wild striders; however, with the nether portal system hooked up as it is in CV, striders cannot be transported to the overworld to fulfill the same functionality. Offering striders in the admin petshop fills in that gap, allowing for safe vanilla lava transportation.

2. Nether Decor Potential
Between tropical fish and bees, the new map offers tantalizing new ways to use live animals to enhance a setting. Therefore, why not extend this functionality by allowing a few friendly striders to roam your fire-and-brimstone wasteland? Add in their usefulness as a lava transport device (see above), and there is actually quite a lot of minigame potential to be unlocked here in my opinion

3. Adorableness
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words... BEHOLD

Let it stare into your soul... who WOULDN'T want one as a pet? Keep it out of the rain, feed it an occasional blue mushy treat, and love its adorable giant snuggly face

But I do sure think why i would need a strider while i could buy netherite or tridents, besides u could have a base in the nether where the striders are in their habitat. They would need to be blocked from water and rain, and there are no lava seas in the overworld, and also it’s kinda sad to see these red striders shiver in the outside. I think it’s good to keep the striders in their natural habitat where there is no water for them to be hurt.

I agree I agree! I love striders and I love lava, so I really want a pet strider hehe

man, why are striders so popular? there arent massive lava pools or anything in the overworld tho
and also how does someone have a strider in their overworld plot in elysium

im sure its vic, 1. they are cute. 2. They probally got it through a nether portal like pigmans.

it is not a plot, it is just a little spot in elysium were vic decided to put a strider

vic, i am gonna start playing cv again and i want to know how u got a strider so could you teach me lol i want one for a build im making once i start playing again

My pet strider died a while ago, and I want a new one so I can name it 'RIP Merry' and keep it in a little lava pool by my house~
