Suggestions for Cubeville
Suggestions for Cubeville
1:Changing the rank system
We all know that in Cubeville who ever has a rank just has like small symbol for example if someone has a serious mod rank they will have infront of their name an (S). I would suggest to change that to a way so you can understand it easier with out checking the list of staff. A:Make their names colored. B:Write down what they are (mod, admin etc.) before the name [admin]:geosivridis in a red color for example.
2:Ranks
A way for a server to earn money is by setting up a website that sells ingame items, rank and keys for money. I suggest that Cubeville sets up a store selling ranks a keys. The keys will be used to get items from crates, the ranks for other stuff that people without a rank cant access like color chat or nicknames what will Cubeville do with that money is their choise but i will suggest a choise in suggestion 3
3:More staff and devs
As i said in suggestion 2 if Cubeville sets up a store they could earn some money which they can use on server. I suggest to put a % of money into hiring more staff and developers meaning that they will make the server better by adding new stuff and that can atract more people and a % of them could buy stuff from the store and so on. Oh also a developer rank would be good aswell
4:New minigames
Cubeville has difrent games though most of them need a staff to be activated the developers can fix that but im not talking about that. I will suggest games and minigames to be added in Cubeville. I suggest they add these games to the server: A:Skyblock skyblock is a game of progression like survival exept players have only a floating island and void they start of with a few materials and make their way to make their own island the game has a /shop that you can buy an infinite amount of items such as spawners or any other material. You can use either skyblock's own coin system or cubes whatever you want.B:Bow spleef I know that spleef already is in Cubeville i will talk about that later but you can have a new minigame that can be more fun to some people if you dont know bow spleef its a version of spleef were you have a flame bow and you have light up the ground which is TNT so the enemy can fall.C:TNT run Another spleef version i know, but more fun. TNT run is just like spleef exept you cant break blocks if you stand on a block that block disappear and its a matter of time before you run out of blocks.
5:Upgrades to the minigames
I have noticed a few problems in a few minigames not stuff that make it bad but stuff that is annoying to me. A:Survival We all know that in survival we have to go to the portal drops and go to a specific area i think it needs to be replaced with the command /rtp or /wild they do the same thing. What they do is they teleport the player in a random place because if you go to a drop most of the areas with stuff you need are claimed by other people so you cant get them. B:Spleef and any other minigame that needs a staff member to start. In Cubeville there are a bunch of minigames that can only start if a staff member is there what i suggest is to do something with code (like hypixel does) to start a game automaticly and get reset automaticly any game needs to have a specific amount of players or higher for it to start.
Thank you for reading this have a nice day

Re: Suggestions for Cubeville
Cool idea but iirc selling in game ranks for real money is actually against the minecraft law, it is against mojang's terms and agreements, the EULA on servers
Staff iirc already have symbols instead of (C) on their name, mods have (M), senior mods have (s), admins have (a) and system admins have (sa).

Re: Suggestions for Cubeville
Then how other servers like hypixels has this thing and the server is still on?
Re: Suggestions for Cubeville
Those servers are not selling ranks which give players an in game advantage. Similarly, here on Cubeville, we offer a tiered system of donations through patreon. These donations earn players items such as a “floaty feather” which gives a short levitation effect to anyone you touch with it. That said, cubeville is a relatively small server, and has been run entirely by volunteers for over 10 years. As far as I know the system admins have no intention to change that volunteer structure, and all of the donations go toward hardware upgrades and maintenance.

Re: Suggestions for Cubeville
Okay, I'll respond to this point-by-point.
1: Staff's names are actually colored if you check tab. Retired staff are grey, Moderators are light green, Senior Moderators are magenta, Administrators are light blue, and System Administrators are dark red.
2: Back in the way old days, we did have ranks you could purchase that would give you specific benefits. Those were phased out when the EULA was changed. The current EULA does allow cosmetics (or at least perks that don't affect gameplay) to be purchasable - this is why the biggest servers still have ranks that are okay with Minecraft, and why we have our Patreon (all Patreon rewards are cosmetic only). That being said, a lot of servers still sell ranks that give gameplay advantages - those servers are violating Minecraft's EULA, and we don't want to do that. Plus paying for advantageous perks can be annoying for players.
3: Staff are 100% volunteer, and I don't see that changing soon.
4: While I'm not going to rule out any of those minigames being added in the future (that isn't really my call anyway), adding new minigames isn't exactly a priority, especially as we are primarily a survival server. As I said earlier, none of us are being paid to be staff, so many staff still have jobs or school. We don't have unlimited time to work on this kind of stuff.
5: Survival doesn't have teleport systems like /wild or /tpa in part because it's part of CV's design that teleportation is limited. That's part of why making a town of landmark is so special - it opens up new ways of getting around the map, as towns/landmarks get portals leading to them from hub. Plus, there is no way to guarantee that you wouldn't end up in someone else's house with a /wild command, and that would be awkward. Regarding automating games, as I said before, we have limited time that is being spent on other, higher priority problems. I won't rule this out for the future (in part, as I said earlier, because it isn't my call to make).

Re: Suggestions for Cubeville
That is indeed breaking Minecraft’s EULA. Also adding money into hiring staff will make it the point of being staff just getting money and does not follow the classic point of being staff: keeping CV peaceful. Besides, if you ever break the EULA, there is a chance of CV getting blacklisted and destroyed, and us nubs don’t want that, obviously. Also please don’t mention other servers names pls
