I took a look around the village, and I can tell you've put a lot of work into it so far! I noticed several things in the town requirements that are not actively being met, so we can't grant you town status at this time. If you'd like to walk through it with me, I'd be happy to lead you in the right direction! For town your area should be clean, organized, easy to get around, and all building should be complete. Below are a few notes of things to work on:

Town requirements (on the forums) https://cubeville-forum.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=47

- Your portal location (if this is the portal location?) needs to have clear directions for visitors to get around the town.

- A theme: as listed in the town requirements, a theme is not necessary but highly recommended. As I went around the town I noticed builds of varying designs and new things placed in seemingly random locations. I'd recommend at least cleaning up random chests and blocks that are not part of the town's design.

- For town there needs to be at least 5 different food sources (animals and crops combined). You have 3 different crop types and a few cows. Unfortunately, it seems as though your pigs got struck by lightning, zombifying the remaining pig. Your animal food sources need to be able to feed your town, so I'd recommend having larger pens available to accommodate breeding. Finally, you'll need at least one more food source to meet town requirements.

- Commodities: your town should have at least 2 other types of public farms, such as iron farms, xp grinders, wool farm, mining area, etc. Currently you have a private iron farm that I can see and no public commodities available.

- Amenities: I feel like this is the area that is most lacking. There should be attractions and shops to make people want to visit. Attractions would be minigames, roller coasters, parks, etc. Shops need to be stocked and sell a variety of items.

- Members and Plots: I see that on your lower levels you have plots available for players to purchase and there are several small houses built by various players. The requirement here is that you have at least 5 active members (with at least 10 plots total), and at least 5 shop plots (with 2 or more available).

- Surrounding Area: the surrounding area needs to be lit to 25 blocks away from the wall to protect players and prevent mob spawning. It should also be free of holes and safe from fall-traps. You can modreq to be added to the nbz for lighting and cleaning up, but please remember that there should be no town builds in this area.

alrighty. food farms working now, more directions, aves and maybe vip idk yet are making shops, and the amenities are on their way!!

You told me that you've added a free wool farm and a furnace array as commodities. The furnace array isn't marked free, the furnaces are currently locked private (should probably be public?), and there's no clear input. I'd recommend changing those things. Also looks like you're working on adding a lava farm - that's great! Those three things would totally count here :)

- Commodities: We have a free wool farm, smelter, and honey farm.

- Amenities: I put in a board game, plus ENMUZAN made a "Snoofer" habitat

- Members and Plots: I haves Aves_felix with a shop, plus an iron shop on the surface

Getting closer! I HIGHLY suggest you read over the town requirements and make sure you have each of them completely covered.

Town Requirements

For example:

You have the iron shop and Aves' shop. The iron shop does not sell a variety of items.

I also recommend putting inputs for fuel and items onto your smelter.

Finally, the area should be fully built - a prime example of what you have to offer. If you're still building keep going! It's looking so good!

Awesome! Walking around your village I see things that are still being built and/or worked on. When you apply for town the area should be complete - a final product. As I keep walking through I am noticing positive progress, but it still feels like there's more thought that can go into the town.

- Many of your directional signs either don't properly describe where you're going or simply don't make sense.

- Kea's shop is a great addition, but "a small variety of items" needs to be at least 5 different items sold in the shop. She currently sells 2 items, one of which is available for free in town.

- There is still no fuel/item input on the furnace array and it would be very easy for someone to stop the minecarts and not get them going again, thus breaking the inputs.

Please re-read all the input you've received so far as well as the town requirements to see what your next steps should be.

Why don't you take a couple weeks to completely 100% achieve everything that's been outlined for you in both this thread and the town forums. You may apply for town again at that point (4th August 2023). Moving forward you must wait 2 weeks between asking for admins to check the area. A lot of time and energy have gone into helping Squareville get town. Let's get this done!

ok so i re-did some directional signs. kea will prob make more stuff very soon. made input for smelter. i will finish up the public areas but the private areas arent ready yet. sound good ?
